Part-day preschool program offering an enriching curriculum that includes art, music, dance and movement, science and nature, occasional walks and neighborhood field trips, and pre-math and pre-reading activities. Free choice and independence are supported while children learn through play. Program encourages individual-paced learning and the development of critical social-emotional skills while gaining early literacy, phonics, and mathematical skills. Creativity is encouraged through arts and crafts materials, problem-solving activities, and dramatic play with friends. Designated Pre-kindergarten work time is offered for children who will be entering kindergarten. Pre-kindergarten curriculum strand was developed to help children gain skills in large and fine motor areas along with pre-reading, writing, math, and science skills. Standard preschool classroom is available for younger children who may be entering an early childhood education setting for the first time. Program is intentionally designed to be small with low student-to-teacher ratios to allow for attentive care and relationship building between provider and student.
