Blue Lotus Nature School

Description

Early childhood program striving to educate the whole child using a Reggio Emilia inspired approach based on the principles of respect, responsibility, and community. Program philosophy is based on blue lotus symbolism represented by common sense and the use of wisdom and logic to create enlightenment. Students learn through daily exploration and discovery in a natural, typically outdoors environment. Activities are based on the interests of children through a self-guided curriculum. Children learn through natural play with each other and animals, practical work in onsite gardens and barn, and creative projects in nature and outdoor art studio.
